Numbers Numbers Everywhere but

I follow a number of retail blogs, the NRF and other sites that provide great insight into retail trends. The more I look at the numbers the confused I am. Everybodys interpets the numbers differently and then forecasts the implications of those numbers.  Here’s a list of the most recent numbers of last months retail sales by category:
